Volunteer Appreciation 2014
Kids Kottage took great pleasure in appreciating our volunteers on June 17th. We met together at Chateau Louis to enjoy each other’s company and have some fun and recognize the wonderful work provided to Kids Kottage by our many volunteers.
There were prizes for the highest score in YAHTZEE. One team never saw a dice with a 5 on it. There were prizes for those well-equipped people who carried curious and sometimes unusual items in their handbags. So many people answered with the response, “Oh man, I have one of those in my car!” But only the items in the handbag counted!
We were royally entertained by Bare ‘n Von Hair (that’s Matt Day and Gord Graber, for the uninitiated) who presented us with a thoroughly customized humorous musical act. Our volunteers added an impressive display to the act by presenting an ‘on the spot’ rhythm band!
All volunteers received a travel mug that will remind them of our thanks for all they do.
Trish Hebert, a very special lady, who is stepping down as board chair, was presented with a Kids Kottage handprint signature piece. Trish very ably guided our ship over the past 6 years and our heartfelt thanks accompanied the handprint we presented. Trish introduced our new board chair, Nolan Berg. We look forward to Nolan’s leadership in the coming term.
