Source Office Furniture & Systems
It was an honour to meet James Sheppard, assistant store manager for Source Office Furniture and Systems this May, when he stopped by for a tour of the Kottage and to present a $5,000 cheque. We are so excited to develop our relationship with everyone at Source Office Furniture and are looking forward to getting to know the kind people who chose to support Kids Kottage this way! We love working with businesses looking to give back and finding unique and important ways anyone can join us in helping keep children safe in the Edmonton region, and can’t wait to get to know more of the staff at Source Office Furniture and Systems as our relationship develops!
Osman Auctions Inc.
Our friends at Osman Auctions Inc. celebrated their reopening this month, and to mark the special occasion, they hosted a charity auction which raised $9,481 for Kids Kottage! We are so blessed that our community chooses to support us this way. Thank you, Osman Auctions!
As part of a school assignment to start her own business, eight-year-old Vida launched Vida’s Vogels, determined to do two things: feed hungry birds, and support local charities. By selling bird feeders, she was able to make more than the rest of her class combined, and her efforts are still on-going! It was an honour to meet this young entrepreneur this month as she stopped by to give $950 of her proceeds to Kids Kottage!
Red Hot Mama
Edmonton’s Na’amat chapter hosted this cabaret performance by Sophie Tucker and a silent auction with proceeds supporting both the Kottage and other causes helping women and children. It was an amazing show, filled with humour and song, and we were so honoured that they chose to support us through their efforts!
A group of talented local musicians came together to host the First Annual Kottage Concert in May, and we were blown away by this breath-taking show! The level of talent in Edmonton is truly amazing, and it was such an amazing night. We can’t wait til next year!
